Consumers Energy Utility Work to Begin in Tacoma Hills

Consumers Energy will begin natural gas utility work in mid- to late-February. This work is estimate to be completed between late-March and mid-April.

This work is being performed in coordination with Meridian Township’s Local Roads Program to reduce the need to cut the newly paved roads in the future. The roads that will be resurfaced in 2025 are shown in blue on the map. Consumers Energy will be predominantly working in the project limits shown in blue on the map.

Consumers Energy will be replacing natural gas main that has reached the end of its useful life as well as gas service lines that serve homes in the Tacoma Hills neighborhood. Consumers Energy will contact you directly if the service line to your home needs to be replaced to schedule this work as they will need to shut off your gas service for a brief period of time to complete the replacement. Residents can help keep the Consumers Energy utility replacement work and the Local Roads Program work on schedule by scheduling in a timely manner with Consumers Energy.
